Blurbly is a Shopify app that writes product descriptions. This page explains, in plain words, what data the app touches and what happens to it.

What Blurbly accesses

Product data — titles, types, vendors and existing descriptions of the products in your store, so it can write and save new descriptions. That's the whole point of the app.
Store session — the technical token Shopify gives the app so it can act inside your admin. It is stored securely and deleted when you uninstall.

What Blurbly does not do

It does not access, collect or store your customers' personal data. Ever.
It does not read your orders, payments or analytics.
It does not sell or share any data with advertisers or data brokers.

How descriptions are generated

When you click Generate, the product's title and basic details are sent to Anthropic's Claude API, which returns the description text. Product details are used only to generate your description and are subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.

Data deletion

When you uninstall Blurbly, your store's session data is deleted. Shopify also sends us mandatory deletion requests (GDPR webhooks), which the app honors automatically.
